Brunswick County, NC "Parade of Homes" just ended in time for Hurrricane Sandy's arrival

Our newly constructed home was selected as a Featured Home on the tour.  Our builder, Signature Construction, completed our home just 2 weeks before the Parade began.  The moving van arrived on Tuesday morning just 10 days before the Parade.   I had just a few days to unpack and decorate our home for the hundreds of expected visitors during the 2 weekends.  Yikes, nothing like pressure!  Well, with help from my beloved sister and husband, the boxes were unpacked, furniture arranged and artwork and accessories hung and placed.

What neutral colors sell homes?

Color is the most critical aspect of making your home appealing to buyers.  Wall color can be used to enhance and alter the quality of light, make a room seem more spacious or intimate, and create a stimulating or calming environment -- one that your buyer would be proud to own.  The new mood in wall color is to move away from the "sterile white" or "blah beige" that most sellers think of when I advise them to "neutralize" their color palette.
Did you know that shades of gold is the color that sells homes the most?
